About Level Zero

Level Zero, from developer toga777, begins with you waking on a damp carpet in a place of yellow halls and buzzing lights. An exit sign suggests a way out, but in this Backrooms-style adventure the exits are not honest. You explore the Lobby, the Poolrooms and Lights Out, using lockers to stay out of sight and searching for 29 voice-recorded tapes. The aim is to find a way back up before something catches you, and the journey leads to two different endings. Easy and Hard modes are available, and English and Spanish are both supported. The game can be played with keyboard or touch controls. Keyboard controls are arrows or WASD to move, X to use, C for the flashlight, V to hide, F to drink and Space to pause. Pixel art and retro presentation give the halls a stripped-down, uneasy look that suits the liminal-space theme. If you like Backrooms-style exploration, stealth, retro pixel art and the unease of liminal spaces, Level Zero is worth a cautious look.
