Introduction

Stickman: Legends of the Arena is a neon-soaked 2D beat 'em up from developer moruzarlt, and it begins with your character waking up in a glowing city with a crystal shard in hand. Other heroes are sealed inside similar crystals, and freeing them means brawling through three worlds and beating the bosses in your way. Nine fighters are up for grabs — Samurai, Elemental Mage, Shadow Assassin, Cyber Tank, Hunter, Gunner, Paladin, Berserker and a secret Apostle-Necromancer — each with a distinct fighting style and a showy ultimate such as a meteor shower, a sakura storm, a rain of arrows, a guardian angel or blue flames. The campaign covers three worlds of five levels each, with a story and three bosses that bring their own special attacks. Outside the story you can jump into Arena, Boss Rush, Endless Tower, Daily Challenge and Training. A talent tree for every hero, along with weapons, amulets and pets, gives you long-term things to work toward, and the fighting rewards launching enemies into the air, dodging at the right moment and charging your ultimate. Achievements, a bestiary and records are there for completionists. You can play on PC with a keyboard, mouse or gamepad, or on a phone using a touch joystick, and the game ships in seven languages: Ukrainian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Turkish. The core loop is simple: clear waves, land hits to fill your ultimate, and spend star points on talents. Finishing the campaign unlocks the remaining heroes and modes.
