Introduction

Player Discretion is Advised is a two-player platform fighting game from developer fuzul, built around two people sharing a single keyboard. A round is won by knocking the other player out, and the first player to reach the target score wins the match. What happens between rounds is the main event: a rule deck becomes available, and the player who just lost gets to rewrite the next fight. They can adjust gravity, speed, bullets, jumps, dash, block, the map, or even the house rules, then both players return to combat under the revised setup. Because the parameters are meant to be malleable, every rematch can work differently, and the game hands real design authority to its players. It is made with Godot and uses Ansimuz's Warped Cave Asset Pack for art. The project comes from a research-through-design process, and its system rewards experimentation and jank.
