BotWreck: The smell of termination

About BotWreck: The smell of termination
BotWreck: The smell of termination is a quick 3D fighting game from developer e-qik. It offers five combat robots, Tiberius II, MINImi, Cat III, Fluffy and Barber, and two arenas. Pick a machine, then fight the computer or a friend on the same keyboard in a best-of-three match. Solo battles come with three AI difficulty levels, while local two-player mode puts both robots on one keyboard. Rounds can last 60, 90 or 120 seconds, keeping each session short. The arenas add their own threats: Lava Foundry has fire jets and a circular saw, and Lost Temple has spikes and a deadly pit. Barber's spinning drum attacks automatically when it touches an opponent from the front. The controls are keyboard-based. In solo play, use WASD or the arrow keys to move and Space or right Shift for your weapon. In two-player, player one uses WASD and Space, player two uses the arrow keys and right Shift. Escape pauses, M toggles sound, and classic tank steering is the default, with screen-direction steering also selectable. This browser prototype revisits a 2002 school project and keeps its original robot models, textures and sounds. All five robots and both arenas are free, with no download or account needed. It is designed for desktop browsers with a keyboard, and sessions average a few minutes.
